Jason is a Wiradjuri man from Parkes, NSW. He first joined the Ngalaya Board as a law student in 2016, was Chairperson 2018-19 and Executive Director since 2020.
Jason is a Lecturer and the Director of Indigenous Legal Education at UNSW Law & Justice, and a PhD Candidate researching Indigenous self-determination in Australian public policy. He has previously worked as a Project Officer on the Towards Truth Project at the Public Interest Advocacy Centre, and as a casual lecturer and tutor in Indigenous Studies and policy analysis at UNSW.
While a law student, Jason worked as a Paralegal at Gilbert + Tobin, Intern at Redfern Legal Centre in the police powers and tenancy law teams. He organised the 3rd & 4th iterations of the Mooting Competition of Australia's First Peoples, expanding the competition to universities outside of UNSW.
